Student Exchange
Program

The Center of Excellence for Energy is continuing its exchange program for graduate and undergraduate students from Ain Shams, Mansoura, and Aswan universities to study and conduct research at ASU-US for one term. Visiting undergraduate students will enroll in courses at ASU-US and receive credits transferable to their degree programs in Egypt, as approved by their home university faculty. Graduate students will partner with ASU-US faculty to conduct energy-related research in state-of-the-art facilities on the ASU-US campus. All students will also take two courses: one related to energy transitions and energy policy and a second covering topics related to entrepreneurship and innovation.

The exchange program is open to students who are enrolled in energy related fields at Ain Shams, Mansoura, or Aswan university and be proficient in oral and written English and possess proof of language proficiency. Undergraduate students must have completed their first year of study at their home university, have at least one year remaining in their program by the start date of the exchange program, and must have a GPA of 2.5 or above. MS or PhD students must have a research thesis in an energy-related field. Graduate students, upper-level undergraduate students, and students from underrepresented backgrounds will be prioritized.

The program will cover international travel, lodging and utilities, tuition and academic fees, health insurance, meals, and a living stipend. Participants will also take part in events and field trips.
