Loai Nasrat

Vice President of Education and Student Affairs and Professor, Faculty of Engineering, Aswan University.

Dr. Loai Nasrat is a professor at Aswan University in the Faculty of Engineering’s Electrical Power and Machines Department. Currently, he serves as the Vice President of Education and Student Affairs at Aswan University. Dr. Loai’s extensive research portfolio spans both fundamental and applied areas of high-voltage (HV) engineering, with interests encompassing HV insulators, nano polymeric materials, HV cable insulation, aged oil transformers, and environmental studies. He has authored or co-authored over 140 papers on HV polymeric insulating materials, renewable energy, and nanomaterials, which have been published in technical journals and presented at national and international conferences. Dr. Loai is an active member of the Egyptian Sub-Committee of CIGRE and a member of CIRED’s working group focusing on life-cycle asset risk management for around and overhead networks, as of 2021.

Salama Abdelhady Mohamed

Professor of Energy Systems, Head of Dept. of Renewable Energy, Faculty of Energy Engineering, Aswan University

Dr. Salama specializes in renewable energy (solar PV, solar CSP, and wind energy), power engineering, mechanical power engineering, thermodynamic and heat transfer, refrigeration and air conditioning, fluid and gas dynamics, turbo machines, power stations, project management and engineering economics. He earned his professor degree from the Supreme Egyptian Council of Universities and his Ph.D. in thermal sciences from Brno University. He has participated in many research projects, and he got several journals and scientific publications. Also, he previously worked as a consultant in various places, and he obtained a number of awards throughout his career life.

Walid Aniss Aissa

Prof. Walid specializes in thermo-fluids, renewable energy (solar, hydro, thermoelectric, hydrokinetic Savonius rotor), jet pumps, and air ejectors.
He earned his Ph.D., and his Master of Science from Faculty of Engineering- Cairo University, Giza, Egypt. Dr. Walid has participated in many research projects, and has published in several scientific journals. He has won a number of awards throughout his career and has worked as a consultant in different places.

Tarek Abdel-Malak Mekhail

Professor of Mechanical Power Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Aswan University                                                                    

Prof. Tarek specializes in turbo machines design and general fluid mechanical engineering problems using CFD codes, as well as side-channel machines and jet pumps, solar thermal engineering, wind energy and nanofluid problems. He earned his Ph.D., from Shanghai JiaoTong University-School of Power and Energy – China and his Master of Science from Faculty of Engineering- Cairo University, Giza, Egypt.

Usama Khaled

Professor – Head of Electrical Engineering Department

Dr. Usama specializes in nanocomposite materials and dielectric nanofluids, preparation and surface functionalization of nano-materials, water treatment using pulsed power technology, renewable energy, electric vehicles, experiments and simulation of high voltage technologies, ozone generation using dielectric barrier discharge DBD, discharge phenomena including atmospheric corona discharge, micro plasma streamer discharge, and electrostatic applications. He earned his Ph.D., from the Faculty of Engineering- Cairo University, Giza, Egypt. and his Master of Science from the Faculty of Energy Engineering, Aswan, Egypt. He has participated in many research projects, published in many journals and scientific publications and won several awards.

Ahmed M Abdel-Ghany

Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department, Faculty of Energy Engineering, Aswan University.                                                                    

Dr. Ahmed is a professor of heat and mass transfer with 30 years of academic experience. He teaches several undergraduate and post graduate courses and is an advisor and examiner graduate students. He is a visiting professor in Italy, Japan, and other countries and invited speaker and ccientific committee member to more than fifteen international conferences.  His work active reviewer for 17 international ISI journals, has published more than 60 articles in ISI indexed journals, many of which won awards.
