On June 14, 2022, the USAID COE held its first Strategic plan meeting to discuss the strategic roadmap of the center and its main focus areas. The attendees were from EPUs Faculty, chair University presidents, deans of engineering EPUs, Dr. Hafez El-Salmawys, Professor of energy engineering at Zagazig University, and COE Team Member.
The COE Technical Advisor, Dr. Walid El Khattam, gave an introduction to the Electric Sector in Egypt and the obstacles associated with it followed by Dr. Hafez Salmawy’s presentation on Snapshots on Energy Strategy Update. At the end of the meeting, working groups were created to discuss new ideas for research.
