Center of Excellence for Energy launches “Energy Exchange” seminar series

The USAID-funded Center of Excellence for Energy launched “Energy Exchange”, a seminar series that creates a platform for Arizona State University and Egyptian partner university faculty and students, as well as industry sector and governmental leaders, to discuss topics which are essential to the development and implementation of energy solutions in Egypt. The seminar series is part of the center’s efforts to develop higher education capacity in energy through curriculum development, research, and exchanges and training programs as well as by facilitating dialogue between higher education and energy industry and governmental agencies.

“These seminars are a crucial platform for experts in the energy industry to exchange ideas on various topics that are key to development of energy programs,” says Dr. Sayfe Kiaei, Arizona State University professor and project director. “By working together with partner universities as well as industry and governmental leadership, we can develop real solutions that work to support the energy transition in Egypt.”

The seminar series explores topics that are relevant to both Arizona and Egypt, cutting edge research taking place, and offers discussion time to exchange thoughts, ideas, and pose questions about the topics. Topics could include renewable energy including solar, wind, and water, electric vehicles, grid energy systems, energy storage, green building, and more. The seminars take place the last Monday of every month.
